GUJR AT: A woman died by drowning, while her husband and their son are feared dead after their car plunged into Upper Jhelum Canal near Thathapur village in Kunjah police precincts on Tuesday.

According to Rescue 1122 District Officer Abdul Rasheed, the car carrying four members of a family apparently plunged into the canal because of speeding, resulting in death of Zahra Bibi, whose body had been fished out of the canal.

He said search for her husband Abdul Razzaq and their son Bilal was on.

Wife of the deceased, Bilal, Ayesha Bibi was rescued and shifted to hospital, he said.
