UVAS symposium concludes

LAHORE: The two-day International Symposium on Dairy Animal Reproduction concluded at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) on Tuesday.

Experts from the US, Canada, Brazil, India, Turl(ey, Nepal and Afghanistan discussed with theirPakistanicounterparts animal reproduction, health, nutrition, breeding and genetics during the symposium organised by UVAS`s Department of Theriogenology in collaboration with the Society of Animal Reproduction Pakistan (SARP) with the theme `New Knowledge, New Practices` Speaking in the concluding session, UVAS Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha called for improvement in the genetic potential of local breeds of animals.

Meanwhile, in the poster contest at the UVAS, Dr Ejaz Ali Channa got first position while Dr Ali Hasnain remained second. In oral presentation, Mubashar Hassan got first while Asmaul Husna second position.
