WE have been hearing a lot about injustices to women. We hear about feminism and gender discrimination on a daily basis. I feel pity for women who are deprived of their due rights and are discriminated.
However, I would to like share my experience regarding gender discrimination. A well-reputed international organisation conducted its screeningtestforinternshipin the endof August.
I was not shortlisted because of being a male candidate. This happened although I secured more marks in the test than the female candidate who was shortlisted.
Besides, when jobs for the high, primary orjunior school teachers were announced, a large number of women were appointed by giving them 20 `grace marks`.
This has compelled me to ponder over such concepts as feminism and gender discrimination. I support equality. But isn`t what I have narrated discrimination with men? Zulfiqar Ali Mirani Larkana
