Qadri`s execution

2016-03-02
MUMTAZ Qadri is not a name, it`s a symbol and ideology which supports bigotry, prejudice, lawlessness, unconstitutionalism and ignorance. In this ideology killing anotherpersonisjustined on grounds of blasphemy.

It shows the ugly face of our society which instead of propagating a culture of debate and constructive criticism adopts the way of bloodshed. Islam is against it.

Even Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) denounced it. He took up arms only when he was left with no option by non-believers.

Syed Asadullah Faisalabad (2) IT is baffling to note why the execution of Mumtaz Qadri is being followed by protests.

It seems weird that the execution invited the wrath of the mob vandalising public property and sabotaging a peaceful environment.

The so-called concerned people, who mourn Mumtaz Qadri`s death, are devoid of understanding and the authentic teachings of Islam and are more sentimental than rational.

Mumtaz Qadri, an elite force commando, convicted of killing Punjab governor Salmaan Taseer over his remarks on blasphemy laws, has been executed at the Adiala jail. For some extremist groups, he is a hero of Islam, but in the context of the country`s law he is only a murderer.
