Five robberies, Rs5m taken away

LAHORE: Gunmen struck five times in the city on Friday, taking away cash and valuables all worth Rs5 million.

Four gunmen barged in the house of Javed in Shalimar police jurisdiction and took away cash, jewellery, mobile phones and other valuables worth Rs2.4 million.

Seven gunmen burst into the house of Khursheed in Khurpur in Sundar police jurisdiction and escaped after looting cash and valuables valuing Rs1.5 million.

Two robbers stopped Shakeel and his wife in Johar Town police jurisdiction and snatched Rs100,000, gold ornaments worth Rs500,000 and two mobile phones.

Three robbers stormed into the house of Nadeem in Rachna Block, Iqbal Town, and looted Rs40,000. They also snatched a motorcycle from Asif outside the home and escaped. Four robbers took away cash and valuables from the house of Irshad in Manga Mandi police jurisdiction.
