Hospitals, clinics sealed in Hassanabdal

TAXILA: As the local administration intensifies its campaign against quackery and unhygienic hospitals, a team of health department officials sealed two hospitals in Hassanabdal and lodged cases against the owners.

Sources said a team led by assistant commissioner Syeda Rimlah Ali, deputy district officer (health) Dr.

Sohail and drugs inspector Uzma Khalid raided various clinics and hospitals of the city and sealed Usman Surgical Centre and the Umer Hospital for violating the Punjab Healthcare Commission Act (PHC) 2010.

Two clinics being run by quacks were also sealed, and cases have been registered against the offenders.
