SIALKOT: Some motorcyclists on Tuesday night shot dead a candidate for general councillor slot at Boobkaanwala village in Daska tehsil.

Reports said Nasir Ishaq, an independent candidate for general councillor slot, was pasting his posters on village walls in Boobkaanwala union council when some motorcyclists opened fire, killing him on the spot.

The suspects managed their escape.

Police are investigating the matter with no arrest.
