TIMERGARA: A jirga of elders on Monday resolved a blood feud between the two rival families in Kulala area here.
The feud between families of Zarin Khan of Khungi Timergara and Inayat Khan of Kulala had claimed several human lives in the past.
The jirga members led by Malik Sher Bahadar Khan and Mohammad Salim met at the hujra of the former, and after successful negotiations with the parties succeeded to resolve the feud. The rivals embraced and pardoned one another.
MEETING: A projects` review meeting of the Balambat tehsil was held on Monday with tehsil nazim Imranuddin in the chair.
Naib nazim Zainul Abideen, tehsil municipal officer Iqbal Hassan and councillors attended the meeting.
The participants reviewed progress on the 77 ongoing development projects. The meeting was informed that 80 per cent work on the projects had been completed.
