HYDERABAD: The additional district judge-Vlll directed the Hyderabad range police DIG here on Monday to take action against the SHO of Chalgari police station for keeping six villagers in illegal detention.

He passed the order while disposing of an application filed by villagers` counsel Imran Arain on behalf of applicant Hayat Khoso. On April 26, the court appointed court official Abdul Karim Sahto to pay a surprise visit to Chalgari police station for the recovery of six villagers Kehar Khoso, Hoat Khoso, Ghulam Nabi Khoso, Ghulam Shabbir, Ghulam Mohammad and Amanullah.

The court official found them in illegal detention at Chalgari police station as no record of their arrest was presented before him by police.
