ISLAMABAD: In joint information based operation by police, Rangers and other security agencies in Sector H-11 and other areas led to the arrest of 20 suspects on Monday, police said.
According to details, the teams searched 210 houses and found identification documents of 20 persons incomplete.
They took them into custody and later shif ted them to police station for further investigation and verification of their status.
SSP Sajid Kiani said that the purpose of such operation was to ensure high vigilance in the city. He also appealed to the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police about any suspicious activity taking place in their areas.
Meanwhile, the Kohsar police caught eight gamblers red handed and recovered stake money Rs13,500, six mobile phones and gambling tools from them.
The Koral police recovered 200 liter wine, 584 empty wine bottles and stickers of wine companies during a raid in Ghori Town.
