Girls outclass boys in SSC-Il exam held by Larkana BISE

LARKANA: Girls outclassed boys in annual examination for Secondary School Certificate Part-II (class-X), science and general groups, held by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Larkana, according to results announced on Wednesday.

In the science group, Ms Kalsoom Ghanghro secured first position by obtaining 773 marks, Ms Faryal Kalhoro stood second with 772 marks and Salman Ahmed Shaikh secured third position with 771 marks.

A total of 37,795 candidates appeared in the examination in science group and of them only 1,533 could get A-1 grade; 8,376 secured grade-A, 14,081 grade-B, 6,945 grade-C and 857 grade-D. The result of 934 students was withheld on charges of using unfair means in examination.

In the general group, Bibi Shazia Amjad Bukhari clinched the first position by securing 658 marks, Sanaullah Jagirani stood second with 657 marks and Ms Rabeli Panhwar grabbed the third place with 656 marks.

A total of 2,576 students appeared in the examination and of them 74 passed in grade-A; 759 in grade-B; 910 in grade-C; 270 in D and four could barely pass in grade-E. The result of 255 candidates was withheld on charges of cheating in the examination, according to the handout.
