KHUZDAR: Three people, including two security officials, were killed in two separate firing incidents in Mastung, police said on Sunday.

Police sources said that a police head constable was shot dead in the Killi Sheikhan area on Saturday evening.

They said unidentified men riding motorcycles opened fire on Mohammad Ashfaqandfled.Hereceived bullets in his head and died in the district hospital.

About half an hour after the head constable`s killing, armed men attacked a car in the Alfalah Road area, killing two men and injuring another.

The deceased were identified as Resaldar Ghulam Murtaza Lehri, an official of the Levies force, and his friend, Urz Mohammad. The injured was identified as Nawaz Sharif.

A police official said both incidents seemed to be targeted attacks.

Security has been beefed up in Mastung and severalsuspectshave been taken into custody for interrogation.
