ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department on Thursday forecast rainfall and thunderstorms in isolated locations in the Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan and Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, Fata, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, as well as snowfall over the hills during the next 24 hours.

Dry weather is expected in other parts of the country during the next 24 hours.

Smoggy conditions are expected in the plains of the Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur and Sukkur divisions during the next 24 hours.

A fresh westerly wave is likely to enter the upper parts of the country and would persist during the next 24 hours.

The lowest temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were -2 degrees Celsius in Hunza, 1 degree in Gilgit and Kalat, and 2 degrees in Astore.-APP
