THE introduction of Pakistan`s first free public WiFi network in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan is a welcome initiative by the P unjab government.
According to details, the Punjab Information Technology Board has installed around192 hotspotsin these three big cities which will provide services to over 160,000 internet users for four hours a day. However, there is also a need for introducing measures to curb the surfing of indecent content. It is hoped the government initiative would prove fruitful.
