KARACHI: Police Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Thursday claimed to have arrested three suspected militants, including one alleged suicide bomber.
Acting on a tip-off, the CTD raided a place in Manghopir and apprehended Saif Rehman, Taj Mohammed (alleged suicide bomber) and Adil. One suicide jacket, three TT pistols, four hand grenades and two kilogram explosive material were seized from their possession. CTD Sindh chief Dr Sanaullah Abbasi said that during initial interrogation, the militants told the police that they belonged to TTP and got training from Waziristan.
Dr Abbasi said the alleged suicide bomber told the police that they were planning a major terror act in Karachi.
