QUETTA: Armed men kidnapped an official of the Balochistan Constabulary from the Noshki area on Friday.

Official sources said that Inspector Naseer Ahmed was going home when armed men riding a vehicle intercepted him in the Masjid road area and took him away.

They said that security forces had launched a search operation in the area after receiving information about the kidnapping of the official.

No one has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping so far.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
