LAHORE: Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Siddiqul Farooq’s son was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Zaman Park here on Tuesday.

Mr Farooq told the media that he was jogging when a security guard told him his son Ali Farooq, 26, was not responding to repeated knocks on his room door.

He said he and his employees broke the door lock and found Ali unconscious. He was rushed to Services Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

Quoting doctors, Farooq said his son might have died due to a cardiac arrest three to four hours before he was found.

He further said Ali was taking steroids as he was into body-building, which “might have been a cause of death”.

Ali is survived by two minor daughters and a widow. His funeral prayers will be held in Islamabad at 5pm on Wednesday (today).
