LANDI KOTA L: Continued absence of the headmaster and other teaching staff compelled the students of government high school, Prang Darra, in Loe Shalman to visit the Landi Kotal Press Club on Wednesday and convey their reservations about the lack of teachers in their school and wastage of their precious time.

Clad in their school uniform, about 20 students of grade-10 told mediapersons that their headmaster, Akbar Ali, come to the school only once in twomonths and that too for collecting his salary.

They said that they were without science teachers for almost two years which had forced a number of the students to abandon their studles. `Teachers of most of the other subjects also do not attend their duties regularly as there is nobody to check their attendance,` they said.

The aggrieved students said that the strength of the school had shrunk to almost half from over 500 students some three years ago. Correspondent
