QUETTA: Two suspected militants died and another suffered injuries in an exchange of fire with security forces in Mashkay tehsil, Awaran district, on Thursday.

Ofñcialsourcessaidthattheencounter took place in Gorkhai area of Mashkay when security forces came under attack from nearby mountains.

Security personnel took position and returned the fire which continued for anhour, resulting in death of two attackers and injuries to another.

The dead had been identified as Qadir Bakhsh and Hafizullah while Fateh Khan received bullet injuries and was admitted to a hospital in Gajjar in Mashkay.

Security officials claimed that the alleged militants belonged to the banned BLF and were residents of Gorkhai area of Mashkay.-Staff Correspondent
