Qualified teachers needed

2016-10-06
BALOCHISTAN stands at the lowest rung in terms of educational standards and literacy rate in Pakistan. Teachers in Balochistan are given the least incentives and status as compared to other provinces.

Lack of qualified and skilled teachers especially at the primary level in the province has stopped the growth ratio qualitatively.

Thousands of primary schools don`t have science, maths and language teachers.

Although new curricula is introduced at regular intervals, it is of no use until teachers are trained adequately, recruited throughproperchannelsandsupportedby well-resourced systems.

In order to achieve the goals of Unesco`s 2030 framework for education action there is a need for not only substantially increasing the supply of qualified teachers but also motivating them by valuing their work.
