ISLAMABAD: In a crackdown, the capital police have busted a robbers gang, besides arresting 12 outlaws, police said on Wednesday.

The Tarnol police raided an abandoned area on Facto Cement Road and nabbed three persons, who were planning robbery in the area, they said, adding the police also recovered three 30-bore unlicensed pistols along with ammunition.

The Khana police arrested an auto-thief and recovered a vehicle, they said, adding the Nilor police apprehended two persons for selling diesel illegally.

The Koral police arrested a man for carrying a dagger, the police said, adding the Sihala police apprehended two persons for selling diesel illegally.

Separate cases have been registered against the accused and investigations were in progress.Staff Reporter
