DERA GHAZI KHAN: Female teachers appealed to the chief minister for justice as they were not interviewed despite receiving letters and clearing the written test for advertised posts.

The Punjab Public Service Commission advertised 96 Grade-18 posts of senior headmistresses possessing MPhil and BEd degrees and five-year teaching or management experience.

Some 371 candidates cleared the written test and qualified for interviews. The commissionissuedletters for final interviews to the successful candidates.

Later, over a hundred successful candidates fromsouth Punjab were not interviewed on the pretext of not possessing five-year relevant work experience after MPhil, which is contrary to the selection criteria as per the advertisement.

Candidates Zartashah, Dahmina Khosa, Rakhshanda Begum, Khursheed Begum, Bilgees Khanum appealed to the chief minister to take notice of the alleged unfair treatment with them.

They claimed the advertisement only mentioned five-year teaching experience and not that it was required after MPhil. They questioned if they did not match the criteria then why were they allowed to sit the written test and then called for interviews.
