Skill development workshop for GB youth

ISLAMABAD: The Directorate of Training and Research (Customs), Islamabad, and Model Customs Collectorate, Gilgit-Baltistan, organised a five-day training programme for awareness and professional capacity building of educated youth of Gilgit-Baltistan in collaboration with Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP).

The main aim of the programme was to create awareness and tap the skill potential of the youth of Gilgit-Baltistan. A large number of participants from various sections of life participated in the capacity building programme, said a pressreleaseissuedhere.

During his welcome remarks, Attaullah stated that AKRSP was working for over three decades to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral.

He said AKRSP intended to promote employable skills and self-employment opportunities for the youth by preparing them for various business avenues likely to hit the market after China Pakistan Economic Corridor becomes operational. A Reporter
