Woman asks authorities to arrest killer of her son

TIMERGARA: A woman from Ouch village has demanded of Khyber Pal(htunkhwa chief minister and inspector general of police to take notice of the murder of her son and issue directivesfor arrest ofhis killer.

Addressing a news conference in Chakdara, Zakia Bibi alleged that her son Mansoor Khan, a student of FSc, was stabbed to death by Ibadullah on Feb 1. She said that Ibadullah and his brother Rahatullah first quarreled with Mansoor and then the former stabbed him to death.

The woman said that an FIR was lodged against Ibadullah in Ouch police station but he was not arrested. She said that the suspect was roaming openly and threatening her of dire consequences.

Ms Bibi demanded of the chief minister and IGP to take notice of the case and direct the police to arrest the suspect.

COUNCILLOR: Pakistan Tehreek1-Insaf councilor in Tangi Timergara village Alia Bibi on Monday alleged that NGOs with different names were busy in making money in Lower Dir.

She demanded of the provincial government to devolve powers to grassroots level in real sense as the representatives of local government could not address the issues of people owing to lack of development funds.

`I had to close my garments` shop, established in my home, for election campaign as I had no other resources because I wanted to work for empowerment of women but so far the local government representatives have failed to raise voice for their own rights,` said the councillor.

She alleged that the so-called NGOs in Lower Dir were silent over women disenfranchisement during elections.

She said that political parties in the district were always reluctant to give right of vote to women.

TRAINING: Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Ayaz Momand has said that Timergara, Balambat and Khall tehsils have been divided into 74 circles and 480 blocks for the upcoming census.

He told journalists that training of the census staff would continue till Feb 28. He said that 15 charge superintendents, 74 circle officers, 80 supervisors and 480 block officials were deployed in Timergara subdivision for census.
