CM launches website on CPEC

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak inaugurated the newly-developed website of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in a ceremony at the Chief Minister Secretariat here on Thursday.

A statement issued here said that the website had been jointly launched by the planning and development (P&D) and information technology departments.

Secretary P&D Shahab Ali Shah briefed the chief minister about the website. He said the 100 projects of KP government detailed on this website would be showcased during the three-day Beijing road show starting from 16th of this month.

He said that the website carried details and information about investment opportunities and potential in education, health, tourism, culture, trade, industry, energy, mines and minerals, food, agriculture, transport, information technology, banking and other sectors that would also be regularly updated.

He said that it also covered information on policies and the incentives and facilities the KP government offered in various sectors. It also displays comments and proposals of the investors and other viewers and the feedback.

The chief minister lauded overall performance of both the departments and asked for adding some features in the website. He said that the KP government had excelled other provinces in implementation process of CPEC projects.
