`PML-N can`t escape accountability`

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreelei-Insaf leader and former governor Chaudhry Sarwar says the PML-N has no option except to agree on free and fair accountability.

Speaking at a workers` convention on `Future Leaders Network` on Monday, he said the ruling party could not escape an independent and impartial accountability and warned that if it did not come to terms, the PTI would take to streets leaving the government unable to function.

He said if rulers were clean, they must not be afraid of accountability and resolve the TROs of a proposed commission as soon as possible.

He said the government was spending Rs200 billion on metro projects whereas people were dying due to theunavailability of medicine in hospitals.

He praised efforts and commitment of PTI workers for the cause of the party and acknowledged the worle ers commitment during sitins and public protests.

He said the workers would be trained and launched as future leaders with an ability to fight for the rights of the people.

Also, Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmoodur Rashid has expressed his dismay at the likely approval of the provincial budget by the chief minister through a video link.

Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif is in London, attending to his brother and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Mr Rashid said it seemed that like the federal cabinet meetings of the the provincial cabinet would also be chaired through video conferences.
