Two facilitators of terrorists held in Lakki

LAKKI MARWAT: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two facilitators of terrorists during a search and strike operation in Bargai village bordering the Frontier Region of Lakki.
An official said that the operation was initiated on the orders of district police officer Syed Khalid Hamdani wherein commandos of Elite Force and Anti-Terror Squad also participated.
He said that police had information about the presence of notorious Madalo gang wanted in murder, attempted murder, attack on law enforcers and terrorism related cases in the area.
“The wanted men made their escape good before a police contingent reached the border village,” maintained the official, saying, however, that the cops captured their two facilitators, including Attaur Rehman and Furqanullah, and seized two AK assault rifles, spare magazines and bullets from them.
“A case was registered against both the arrested men and investigation began,” he added.
Meanwhile, police busted a gang of gamblers and arrested its ten members during a surprise raid in Kakakhel village in the limits of Ghaznikhel police station on Tuesday.
On a tip-off, a police party raided a gambling den and found ten people playing bet,” said an official, adding that the arrested men included Syed Amin, Naimat Khan, Zubair, Karim, Abdul Rehman, Rehmat, Sifatullah, Bostan, Diljan and Saddam.
He said that police seized stake money of Rs14,300 from the arrested gamblers and registered a case against them.
