KARACHI: Rangers on Tuesday claimed to have seized arms and ammunition in North Karachi “dumped by Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London” for terrorist activities.

In a statement, a spokesman for the paramilitary force said that on a tip-off, the Rangers carried out a raid in a North Karachi area and found arms and ammunition in one of the grounds in the neighbourhood.

“The arms and ammunition were dumped in a garbage dump in a place adjacent to Eidgah Ground in North Karachi. Upon investigations, it emerged that these illegal arms and ammunition were dumped by workers of the MQM-London, planning fresh terror-related activities in the city,” said the statement.
