LAHORE: The Lahore High Court registrar has issued a circular to all district and sessions judges of Punjab intimating suspension of licences of two advocates -Mehr Ahsan Javed and Inamullah Afridi -involved in manhandling of a judicial officer.
A full bench of the court had last week suspended the [practicing] licences of the lawyers after they failed to tender an unconditional apology in writing.
The bench had accepted apology of Barrister Eitesham Ameeruddin and discharged proceedings against him with a warning.
The circular issued by the registrar office required the sessions judges to ensure implementation of the full bench`s order by judicial officers in their respective districts.
During the suspension of the licences, the lawyers could not appear before courts.
