KARACHI: While the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation on Tuesday notified that all its offices and educational institutions attached with it would remain closed on Oct 7 in connection with Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s Urs, schools across the city were divided on the issue of local holiday in the absence of a notification from the education department.

Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, however, stated that all government schools would remain open.
