Two bodies found 14 days after drowning
By Our Correspondent
2014-11-07
MIRPURKHAS: The bodies of a 32-year-old man and a four-year-old girl were fished out from Jamrao canal by some villagers on Thursday.
They had drowned when a bike-rickshaw carrying 11 passengers plunged into the canal 14 days ago.
Some residents of the area had rescued nine passengers and the driver but Allah Dino Bheel, 32, and Samina, 4, remained unaccounted for.
A few Pakistan Navy divers also made hectic efforts to find the two victims but in vain.
On Thursday, some villagers spotted the bodies at the 22-Mile point in the west of the canal and fished them out.
The bike-rickshaw was on its way to Nawazabad Farms from Sultanabad when it met with the accident.
