group of students from FAST University achieved their dream of setting up a library for underprivileged children, which opened at Out of School Children`s (OSC) School on Thursday.

The five students had been asked to design a community service project which led them to set up the library at the OSC School at the Child Protection Centre in Sector H-9. The library will house over 400 books, educational toys and a computer with dozens of CDs.

Renowned cartoonist Nigar Nazar inaugurated the one room library in a simple ceremony. She appreciated the students for recognising the need for the library and promised to donate her books and CDs for the library.

`For this project we conducted various activities which included spending lots of time with the kids,` said Aalishan, one member of the group. The group includes Hussain, Aalishaan Mahboob, Arslan Qazi, Huzaifa Mateen, and Zeeshan Ashraf.
