MUZAFFARABAD: At least five people, including a woman, were injured when Indian troops resorted to indiscriminate shelling from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, of ficials said.
`Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing in the Battal sector at the LoC in the morning. Pakistani troops responded befittingly to the Indian fire,` the Inter Services Public Relations said in a statement.
A police officer identified the injured as Sajida Kosar, Sain Majeed, Sain Nasir, Master Naseer and Abdul Qadeer.
AFP adds: The Indian army said two of its soldiers were killed in an exchange of fire along the LoC. `One soldier was killed in a firefight as Indian troops pushed back Pakistani infiltrators while another died in a separate incident,` the army said.
