Five hurt in Kurram blast

PESHAWAR: A low intensity blast at Sada Bazaar in Lower Kurram Agency left five persons injured on Tuesday.

Officials said that an explosive device was put in a shopping bag at the market that went off with a big bang, injuring five persons. The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital in Sada.

Assistant Political Agent Fazal Qadir along with Levies personnel rushed to the area and started investigation. The identity of the victims could not be ascertained.

Meanwhile, security forces recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation in Manatu area of Kurram.

The seizure included 102 rounds of RPG7 and its charges, 48 rounds of recoilless rifles, 13 boxes of heavy machinegun ammunition, 16 rounds of mortars, 54 fuses and huge quantity of ammunition of different calibres. APP
