KARACHI: Offering condolences to the parents of children dying in Thar, a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Member of the National Assembly has rejected the two-member committee formed by Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari to look into the situation of deaths of children in Thar due to malnutrition, lack of healthcare facilities and scarcity of water.

In an statement issued here on Thursday, Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, who also heads the Pakistan Hindu Council, described the committee comprising provincial information adviser to the CM Moula Bux Chandio and Food Minister Nasir Shah as `fake` and against parliamentarian traditions, because there was no representation of the opposition and other political parties in the committee.

`The government of Sindh is directly responsible for the deaths of innocent children and all the hardships of the people of Thar, who are paying the price of negligence of government authorities, he said while emphasising that once peaceful area of Mithi was now becoming most worst place for minorities.-Staff Reporter
