ISLAMABAD: A Korean national has lodged an FIR against a man after a cheque worth Rs29.2 million provided to him bounced.

Kohsar police registered a case against the citizen, a resident of Kasur, but the suspect could not be arrested.

Station House Officer (SHO) Malik Bashir told Dawn that the complainant, Li Ching Avan, a Korean national, lodged an application against a man who gave him an order to provide Korean batteries.

`Mr Li provided the suspect with the batteries, but the cheque given to him was dishonoured. Though the suspect is a resident of the Kasur district, the cheque bounced within the limits of the Kohsar police station so the case was registered [at this] police station,` the SHO said. -A Reporter
