Shortage of point buses

2015-06-08
THE government provides the service of university point buses to students. These low-fare buses pick students from their locality and drop them at Karachi University.

There are over 30,000 students studying at Karachi University in the morning shift.

At least 40-50 pc students use point buses for commuting. Only 30 point buses are available for 12,000-15,000 students. Most of the time these buses are overcrowded, as you can often see students, including girls, precariously hanging at the door. On several occasions accidents have taken place, killing students.

The Sindh government should take the issue seriously and provide more point buses as soon as possible.
