66 deportees arrive from Greece

RAWALPINDI: A total of 66 Pakistanis deported by Greek authorities arrived at Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) aboard a special flight on Wednesday night.

Of the 66 deportees, 29 were taken into custody by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and moved to the agency`s Anti-Human Trafficking Cell for investigation, because they had crossed Pakistani borders illegally.

The remaining 36 individuals were allowed to go home after being briefly questioned.

An immigration official said a special flight carrying 66 Pakistanimigrants arrived at BBIA amid tight security.

Earlier, eight Pakistani migrants deported by Turkish authorities arrived at BBIA on two separate flights, and were taken into custody by the FIA.
