LDA to build 10,000 houses

KARACHI: The Lyari Development Authority has finalised an `affordable` public housing scheme for construction of about 10,000 singleand doublestorey houses in Hawkesbay.

The houses will have modern and strong structure and quality finishing with all civic facilities.

This was stated at a meeting presided over by LDA director general Agha Maqsood Abbas and attended by senior officers, said a statement issued here on Thursday.

Mr Abbas said the houses would have latest civic facilities. He added that the houses would be given to the general public on easy instalment at the minimum reasonable prices to help solve their residential problems.

It was decided that the allottees who had paid all dues of their plots in Hawkesbay scheme-42 of the LDA would be given prizes through balloting on the concluding day of an exhibition being held at the Expo Centre from Aug 12 and 14 at its stall. -APP
