Girls education

2016-12-08
A PROJECT, Mobile Female Teacher Training Unit (MF TTU), has been launched to recognise the importance of education for girls in rural areas of Balochistan. It is realised that girls in rural areas also deserve education as they can play a role in the future. Although the MF TTU is playing a significant role, it has some drawbacks also.

For example, 90pc of girls are deprived of schooling. The girls` literacy rate in Balochistan is less than two per cent. Most neglected parts are Buleda, Kharan, Bolan and Marri and Bugti tribal areas. These villages do not have primary schools.

It is unfortunate that these out-of-school children are earning money.
