ISLAMABAD: The capital police and security agencies have launched a hunt for four militants who have been assigned to target sensitive installations or public gathering, sources told Dawn on Monday.

An intelligence agency has issued a threat alert in which it mentioned complete details of the suspected terrorists including their snaps and asked the capital police to search them in their areas.

A police officer told Dawn, on condition of anonymity, that the teams deployed at the checkpoints had been given details of the suspects and instructions had been issued to police teams to conduct search operation along with Rangers and security forces.

The teams have been asl(ed to match the details with that they collect from the residents of the area. Staff Reporter
