GHALANAI: An officer of the Khasadar Force and an employee of the Military Engineering Service have been killed af ter being kidnapped in Ekkaghund tehsil of Lower Mohmand sub-division.

According to residents, masked men kidnapped Khasadar Force`s Naib Subedar Naveed Khan from a shop near his house in Kado Kor area on Tuesday and later shot him dead.

He was buried in his ancestral graveyard in Kado Kor.

Naveed performed his duty in Daab Kor area near the Michni Rest House.

Political administration officials said the brother of the deceased had been paid Rs50,000 for burial expenses.

Also on Tuesday night, militants kidnapped Jamal Shah, an employee of theMilitary Engineering Service, from his house in Bahi Kor area. Later his beheaded body was found in a stream in Sherano village and taken to his house.

Houses demolished Elders of Haleemzai tribe along with the personnel of Levies and Khasadar forces demolished 13 houses of alleged militants in different areas of Haleemzai tehsil on Wednesday.

The houses belonged to Yaseen Khan, Peer Zada, Mian Abdu Shakir, Aman Khan, Abid, Ziarat Shah, Munsif Khan, Bakhtawar Shah, Sazono, Aziz, Adnan and Yasir Khan.

The government had warned the tribal elders at a jirga to take action against militants and their facilitators or face stern action under the collective responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulations.
