Rs60m released to upgrade school for special children

TIMERGARA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has released RsG0 million for upgradation of the lone school for deaf and dumb students in Timergara, says Jamaat-i-Islami district secretary information Yaqubur Rehman.

Talking to local journalists here on Tuesday, he said that it was longstanding demand of the parents of special children as currently the school was being in a rented building.

He said that land for construction of the school was bought in Dabbar Shekolai area of Lower Dir.

He said that the existing primary level school was upgraded so that special children could get education without any hardship.

Mr Rehman also thanked Provincial Minister for Finance Muzafar Said for releasing the amount for the school and said it would help more special children from different parts of the district to get education.

The parents of some special children also expressed pleasure over approval of funds for the school. Correspondent
