TCKP announces schedule of tourist activities

PESHAWAR: The Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) has announced a number of activities to be organised in the months of November and December.

The decisions were taken at a meeting chaired by secretary tourism & sports Tariq Khan, according to a press release issued here on Tuesday.

Relevant officials briefed Mr Tariq Khan that five paragliding activities had been scheduled at Akora Khatak, whereas to highlight religious tourism, a Sikh delegation from the United States was visiting the Sikh religious shrines and holy places in the walled city Peshawar.

They said that TCKP would welcome them at the Peshawar Museum.

The officials informed the meeting that train trips for families, Indus River crossings, a motorbike rally to Shiekh Badin and desert safari race would also be organised to promote different forms of tourism in the province.

They said that all the upcoming activities would be organised under the flag of TCKP in a befitting manner.

The secretary tourism directed the TCKP officials to organise all the activities in a befitting manner, hosting their guests with utmost hospitality. He said that skiing activities would be organised at Malam Jabba to promote winter tourism.-APP
