Students protest changes in question paper

2015-06-10
PESHAWAR: Students of the Khyber Girls Medical College (KGMC) on Tuesday boycotted classes in protest against the changes in the pattern of question papers in the examinations. They also warned of holding indefinite sit-in if the decision wasn`t revoked.

They said the new system introduced by the Khyber Medical University would adversely affect academic performance of students as they would have to attempt 70 per cent multiple choice questions (MCOs) and only 30 per cent short essay questions (SEQs) in the examinations.

The students said the new pattern had not been introduced in any coIIege elsewhere in the country and that it was difficult for them to switch to the new pattern abruptly.

A press release issued by the KGMC students said the decision would harm the medical students academically as they didn`t know about the new pattern of paper-setting by the KMU for their examinations.-Bureau Report
