One killed, another injured in accident

ISLAMABAD: A motorcyclist was killed and another injured in a road accident in Bahria Town on Friday.

The two men were on a motorcycle when they were hit by a speeding car. They were moved to the hospital where one of the motorcyclists, identified as Abdullah, was pronounced dead.

The other man on the motorcycle, identified as Abdul Moiz, is said to be in stable condition, the police said, and that a case has been registered against the driver of the car.

Meanwhile, robbers and thieves struck at six places in the city and made off with cash and valuables, the police said.

Four armed men raided the house of Mohammad Hasnain in Bahria Town and held the residents at gun point.

They took cash, gold ornaments, prize bonds, saving certificates and other valuables from the house.

In a separate incident, burglars broke into the house of Azizur Rehman in Bahria Town and made off with valuables.

Unidentified burglars also broke into a house in F-8/1 and made off with cash including US dollars and Euros, the police said, and that the victim has accused the house servant for the theft.

Thieves stole from a shop owned by one Mohammad Ali in Jhangi Sayda and took with them dozens of sacks of cement and a couple of mounds of iron rods.

The car of Zarina Begum was broken into in F-6/1 and cash, a mobile phone and other valuables were stolen.

A Mehran 2003 belonging to Sajidur Rehman was stolen from a parking space in NTDC as well.
