KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Wednesday night claimed to have killed three suspected militants in an `encounter` on the outskirts of Karachi.
`The paramilitary force conducted a raid after receiving intelligence about a banned outfit`s suspected hideout in the Manghopir area,` the spokesperson said. They were involved in terrorist activities. In an attempt to escape, the suspects shot at the raiding personnel and a shootout ensued. The spokesperson said three of the suspects were killed and a Rangers soldier was injured.
He said they had seized a sizeable quantity of arms and ammunition from the hideout.-Staff Reporter
