CHARSADDA: Five suspected persons were arrested and a huge cache of arms was recovered from their possession during a search and strike operation in Shabgadar tehsil here on Wednesday.

The police, F C and army personnel conducted joint search and strike operation in Saro Kallay area.

They also seized 23 SMGs, 30 rifles, 22 pistols, a Kalashnikov, 66 magazines and 2,260 cartridges from the possession of the suspects who were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
