HOW could any human being stoop to such abysmal depths and commit such an appallingly and terrible inhuman act of setting on fire a wretched helpless young girl? Her crime, nay more an allegation, was thatshe hadhelped afriend to elope.
Where were our law-enforcement agencies when this self-appointed jirga of hoodlums was in session for almost five hours debating the fate of this unfortunate innocent girl? Where were her kith and kin, neighbours and the other thekedars of Islam when this most foul crime was being committed? I hope, justice will be done and done speedily and would be seen to have been done.
