Jacobabad police claim arresting three `terrorists`

SUKKUR: Jacobabad police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested with the help of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) three suspected terrorists who were said to be involved in bomb blasts on railway tracks in the district.
SSP Sarfaraz Nawaz Shaikh told media persons that police, along with personnel of LEAs, cordoned off Taja Shakh line locality within the jurisdiction of Dodapur police station near here early in the morning after receiving a tip-off that three terrorists were bringing explosive material to Sindh via Jacobabad from Usta Mohammad town of Balochistan.
He said the suspected terrorists arrested in the action were identified as Hungu aka Nawab Din Meer M. Sundrani, a resident of Chithar, Balochistan; Balaach Banglani, a resident of Thull, Jacobabad district; and Karim Din Banglani of Khair Mohammad village, Thull. Police also recovered three kilogrammes of explosive material from their possession, he said.
He said the suspects were involved in a bomb blast on railway track near Noor Wah on June 28, 2014, and another explosion on Shikarpur-Jacobabad railway track near Sabzi Mandi on Feb 12, 2015, which damaged the tracks and caused Khushhal Express to derail.
He said that a case had been registered at Dodapur police station against the three suspects under relevant sections of the law.
The SSP termed the suspects` arrest a great achievement of Jacobabad police and said it was made possible by effective security arrangements along SindhBalochistan border area.
